In addition to water storage tanks, we supply a range of pressure tanks, also known as expansion vessels. While water tanks store bulk water, pressure tanks store water under pressure. With a pressure booster system you’re storing pressure so that for small flows the pressure tank can do the work of the pump. The logic is that the pressure tank saves energy and saves the pump from turning on every time a small amount of pressurized water is needed. When a large amount of water is needed, the pump does all the work and tops up the pressure tank at the same time.

Large commercial & fire fighting pressure booster systems are built on the same principles. These systems sometimes have a number of pumps all connected in a way that enables them to work between a range of pressure and flow requirements.
